50 Million Blogs Plus!!!

Today David Sirfry ( Founder & CEO of Technorati) has released his "State of the Blogosphere" report!

His report hasn't failed to provide us with some interesting numbers; below are a few noticeable changes that have occurred in the last 3 months alone.

April Blogosphere Report:

  1. Technorati tracks over 35.3 Million blogs
  2. Blogosphere doubles in size every 6 months
  3. On average, a new weblog is created every second per day
  4. Technorati tracks about 1.2 Million new blog posts each day, about 50,000 per hour

August Blogosphere Report:

  1. Technorati tracks over 50 Million blogs
  2. Blogosphere doubles in size every 200 days
  3. On average, more than 2 blogs are created every second per day
  4. Technorati tracks about 1.6 Million new blog posts each day, about 18.6 per second

This time the report includes numbers on "splogs" ( spam blogs) and time frames that seem to be the most popular posting hours!
