Whos Blogging in the US?

Interesting numbers recently published by the Associated Press regarding Blogs, according to their survey approximately 84% of blogs aren't niche based. 84 percent of US bloggers say they have a blog for personal reasons, blogs seem geared towards people sharing their personal experiences.

US Blog Stats:


  • 84% Blogs are Personal
  • 60% of bloggers spend only 1 or 2 hours a week on their blog
  • Half of the bloggers post for themselves, not necessarily an audience
  • 39% of Internet users now have a blog - up 12% from last year
  • 8% of adults online have a blog
