How Important are you?

According to some observations, it looks like Google is rolling out another Page Rank change. So that got us thinking. What is Page Rank (PR) other than a measure of importance that Google bestows upon a website? And since we all like to measure ourselves against the competition, below is a collection of tools that help do just that:

• Alexa - Shows website popularity. Popularity is based on websites visited by users who have downloaded the alexa toolbar.



• Ranking.com - Shows website popularity. Popularity is based on websites visited by users who have downloaded the BrowserAccelerator Toolbar.



• Google Page Rank - Measure of importance that Google bestows upon websites based on link popularity. See PR here:

• Yahoo Web Rank - Yahoo's measure of how popular a web page is based on the number of links pointing at it. At one time this was displayed on the Yahoo toolbar in a similar manner to how Google displays PR. But this has since been removed.
